This course will explain the importance of proper protection of electrical equipment as well as proper coordination with overcurrent protection devices to reduce nuisance tripping in your facility. SKM Power Tools for Windows software will be used to analyze medium and low voltage systems. You will learn to protect devices such as transformers, generators, switchgears and motors by selecting the correct trip settings and overcurrent protection devices. You will also learn how the changes for protection and coordination can influence your Arc Flash Incident Energy at a given location. The concepts presented in this course follow NFPA 70 and NFPA 70Erequirements for electrical safety.
